Each Tower is 73 feet tall and sits 246 feet above sea level.

1st order fresnel lens. 25 million candlepower. Tyhe machinery used to rotate the light was driven by a 700 pound weight and clockwork mechanism.
The south tower had to have "blinders" put on the back side so it wouldn't disturb the neighbors cows. The cows would see the light and think it was time to be milked.
Sandy Hook light sits in the center of Fort Hancock. The fort has protected america since 1890 and features a number of "battery's". The nations first and only steam lift gun was once found here. The gun fired a half ton projectile with a range of 7 miles.
